Out and About

March 28th 2007 was the most memorable day of my social calendar so far this year. The fundraising
committee for Cork's Marymount Hospice kindly asked me to be the guest speaker at their annual
(and very glamorous) Ladies Lunch. The lunch was held at Maryborough House Hotel in Cork and was
an outstanding success, raising over €40,000 on the day. It was attended by 450 esteemed guests,
with style and pizzazz at the top of the agenda. It is hoped that building of the new Marymount Hospice
will soon commence at its intended location on the Curraheen Road, thanks to the generosity of the
people of Cork and the efforts of the dedicated and hardworking fundraising committee.
